IN PERTH at last

View from hotel room.  Heading out to catch a bus to Kings Park and take a walk before falling into bed for a bit of a rest.  It is Friday!  here about 5:45pm. 

In LA

Arrived ahead of schedule and staye# with TOM AND JILL in their beautiful home in Hermosa Beach.  Heading to Brentwood  to pick up AUNT HOPE and then to meet Bob and MAry Edie and visit Bob Edie whom I haven't seen in 30 years.  Dinner later then off to Australia 11:55pm ... 25 hours later, Perth!,

We're off

Passport, tablet, chargers, credit cards, Australian $, and tons of excitement and anticipation  for what is ahead!

All packed!

Probably the hardest part of this journey!  Five weeks in one carry-on and a backpack.  Getting close.  Looking forward to kicking off this journey of a lifetime with the Turney Tribe!

MY FIRST POST IS A THANK YOU,

With the help and infinite patience of my precious and technosavvy granddaughter, Ashleigh, this blog is being created.  She has generously spent her evenings,  after teaching all day, instructing me on just how to go about what seems (right now anyway) a pretty daunting endeavor!  I think she's pretty amazing. 
So much to learn in the next 11 days before departure to Australia. ..
